If you want to get more involved in the queer community and find queer spaces in DC, here are some personal recommendations!
Take a free, guided walking tour of historic queer neighborhoods--Dupont Circle and Capitol Hill.
Little District Books is a queer-owned, independent bookstore that sells books that celebrate queer authors and stories. They also have book clubs and events.
If you need a dentist, check out Big Gay Smiles. This LGBTQ2IA+ owned practice offers incredible care, is queer-affirming and safe, and donates 10% of its yearly revenue to local and national HIV/AIDS nonprofits.
As You Are is a café by day (with free wifi!), bar and dance lounge by night, and a safe space for all. It "exists to hold and cultivate a safe and celebatory space for the LGBTQIA+ community."

Stonewall Kickball DC is a queer community-based, nonprofit kickball league. It's inclusive, fun, and a great way to connect with queer people. If you know/want to learn ASL and get involved in the Deaf community, consider joining the Kissfisters, the only Deaf/ASL-user team.
The Rainbow History Project is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization whose mission is to collect, preserve, and promote the history and culture of the queer community of metropolitan Washington, DC. They have archives, events, volunteer opportunities, and more.
Rainbow Families is a nonprofit that offers education, resources, and support services for queer parents, families, and prospective parents. It offers practical and legal support, as well as a fun and welcoming community.
Stop by the DC Center for the LGBTQ Community, a safe space that educates, empowers, and connects the queer community. They promote health and wellness, celebrate queer art and culture, have tons of social and peer support groups, focus on advocacy and building community, and offer valuable resources such as free binders.
